Our Oncology Services

Personalised cancer treatments designed to improve outcomes while caring for the whole person.

OncoCare Cancer Centre Malaysia provides comprehensive medical and clinical oncology services for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Situated within Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, our clinic delivers evidence-based therapeutic protocols tailored to the specific pathology and staging of each patient’s cancer.

Medical Oncology: Systemic Therapies

Systemic cancer treatments utilize medications to target cancer cells throughout the body. Our medical oncologists administer individualized treatment regimens, which may be delivered orally or via intravenous infusion.

  • Chemotherapy: The use of cytotoxic drugs to destroy rapidly dividing cancer cells, utilized as a primary treatment or alongside surgery and radiation.
  • Targeted Therapy: Precision medications designed to identify and attack specific genetic mutations or proteins present in tumor cells.
  • Immunotherapy: Biological therapies that stimulate the patient’s own immune system to recognize and fight cancer cells.

Radiation Oncology

Our facility provides localized radiation therapy utilizing advanced delivery systems to target tumors while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.

  • High-Precision Radiotherapy: Including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT).
  • Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT): Highly focused, high-dose radiation treatments delivered in a shorter timeframe for specific, localized tumors (such as early-stage lung or prostate cancers).

Cancer Screening & Diagnostics

Accurate diagnosis and staging are foundational to any clinical treatment plan. Integrated with hospital infrastructure, we coordinate comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including:

  • Advanced radiological imaging (PET-CT, MRI, CT scans, and mammograms).
  • Tissue biopsy and histological evaluations.
  • Genomic profiling and tumor marker blood tests to identify targetable mutations.

Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Reviews

For complex or rare oncological cases, our specialists participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings. This collaborative approach brings together medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical specialists, and pathologists to collectively evaluate clinical data and establish a unified, evidence-based treatment pathway.

Palliative Care & Symptom Management

Oncology care extends beyond tumor-targeted treatments. We provide dedicated symptom management to alleviate pain, manage the side effects of active treatments (such as nausea or fatigue), and maintain the highest possible quality of life for patients at all stages of their cancer journey.
